Nick Herbert, Con, Arundel & South Downs.

One of two openly gay Tory MPs (alongside Alan Duncan) IIRC.

That's Merseyside.

Though none of Wirral West touches any part of the Mersey. Middle class suburban area that shouldn't really have a Labour M.P; even though it is extremely marginal the fact that it does have a Labour M.P says something about the scale of the Tory decline around Liverpool.

What percentage of people in Merseyside are Catholic anyway?

There are no accurate, or even semi-accurate, figures for that sort of thing in England. Much higher than the English average though.

Nor Scotland (yet there is for Northern Ireland..) yet, though figures from the '01 census are being released after a data protection request. It's only at council level unfortunately.

Was Blair's PPS for a while and is retiring at the next election. Streatham has changed a lot in recent decades (and not just because of boundary changes).
