Meant to vote Yes/I but voted Yes/D by accident (first "Yes" poll option).

It puts us on unfair playing field with companies in Mexico that don't have the same labor and environmental safeguards that companies in America have.

Yes, although some portions such as Chapter 11 are too broad and easily abusable by corporate agents. We should reform NAFTA, not scrap it.

I agree with that. My no vote was not, by any means, a vote to scrap NAFTA and become protectionist. We need to renegotiate our trade agreements to ensure that they are fair for all parties and include worker and environmental protections.

Yes (R), but like NDN and Lief said - there are problems with it.

Absolutely not because helps the corporate elite control industry in three nations instead of one.  It will also lead to other things, such as the North American Union and a stronger world government.  The EU started out as trade deals.

Could any supporters explain why?

I support the idea of free trade with Canada & Mexico.

As for the actual agreement itself, I would prefer that it contained stronger labor and environmental protections.

If we could truly mend it, I would support it.  But since it looks like we are beyond any chance of salvaging NAFTA -- scrap it.

It was a good start, but hardly the best that could be hoped for.  Mexico's inability to gain as much as had been hoped from NAFTA is due largely to Carlos Slim and other Mexican monopolists.  Mexico badly needs strong anti-trust laws and a Teddy Roosevelt type to apply them.

I don't support it but I really do not have anything big against NAFTA though.  I think it should be just a little bit more fair, and then I would support it. This is really the only Free Trade deal, I have this sentiment with, all the rest of them are crap.

Some things are good about NAFTA, but I believe we should start putting America first. We need to stop and think what is best for the American people not what is best for our wallets.

I do agree with this.  I think Mexico recently worked out a higher minimum wage, which is good news.
