It would be a fine quote if Petain had actually resisted inside France.  When the rest of France was running for their lives, he consolidated power and then did everything Hitler wanted.  That might be the "move brave" option, but it certainly wasn't the "morally right" option or the "intelligent" option.

Yes. What was funny was that France was trying its damnedest to stop the German radcons..for the first two weeks, then when their main strategy did not work, they just sorta bent over and prepared to be a wife for like 4 and a half years.

I found it intellectually stimulating.  I like these things that make you think.  but since it's authored by Le Pen, I'm predisposed to disagreeing.  anything that absolves Petain of guilt is false and evil, even though De Gaulle was a bitch.
