Where this guy's supporters are coming from is beyond me. I'm wondering if Phil still does if so I wish he was still around.

In real life, I never knew anyone who supported Thompson, so I suppose the point is somewhat moot, but as I'm not aware of any Thompson supporters on this board any more, I can say that I don't even know any online.

I still support Thompson.  I don't know why he gets so much flak from people around here.  So he wasted an opportunity to be the Republican nominee... its not like he'd be the first, and most definately not the last to do that.

His campaign is struggling, but despite the poll numbers, he's still on the radar in a lot of states. On the off chance that Huckabee made a big gaffe or lost a lot of steam, I think a lot of his supporters would float back to Fred.

At least until they remember why they left him in the first place.

A friend of mine supports him, but thinks he has no chance to win.

There's one creepy guy living on a street near my house who has "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" and "GOD BLESS AMERICA" written in large letters on his red-white-and-blue house with at least 5 flags on his front lawn, and has a Thompson bumper sticker on his red-white-and-blue Oldsmobile.

BTW, I'm not kidding.

I have never have nor I will never know a person that supports the candidacy of former Senator Fred Dalton Thompson. Who in there right mind would support this guy? Obviously some dumb rednecks who like to drink Jack Daniels all day and perve at his wife.

I answered this earlier but I'll say it here again for the record - yes, I do still support him.

I sort of understand why people in Tennessee support him, but no one else.

Regardless of what you like about Thompson, there is another candidate in the GOP field who does it better.

I support Fred and donated to his campaign this month.  I also have a friend who put a Fred bumper sticker on his truck.

I personally like his philosophy of government, especially regarding federalism.  I also think that Fred represents the "complete package" unlike the rest of the candidates, and should be acceptable to the religious, fiscal, and libertarian-leaning conservatives.  The other candidates fall short with at least one of those 3 groups.
