He should stay in the Senate.  As chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, he can have a lot of influence on legislation.  In any other role besides President he is purely an adviser, with no ability to create legislation or make changes.

He would be a good VP nominee for Obama...as long as he could watch his mouth.

If the Democrats win in November, Biden should be nominated for Secretary of State.

He has a certain expertise required to do a good job in this role.

True, however, when one receives a call from the President of the United States to serve the nation, this is a very powerful infuence when one makes the decision whether or not to accept.

Secretary of State, America's chief diplomat, would be a very high profile and influential way for Biden to cap off his long career of public service.

Why not just nominate him for the top job?  He's your best person for the job.

Well, I am supporting Dodd.  But yeah -- Biden'd sure do the trick for me, too.

The best role for Biden is as a Bob Dole impersonator, since he seems to like referring to himself in the 3rd Person.

As many of you have said he'd best be Senator Barack Obama's running mate in this year's Presidential Election, if Obama gets the nomination. If Obama dosen't select him I could see him as Secretary of State (if Governor Richardson dosen't have it) or UN Ambassador. In my opinion he'll either be one of those three.

I would love him to be Vice President, so that he could always be around, acting as comic relief, but never be in the position that he could do something wild that would hurt America. Hell, he can't do anything worse than shooting someone in the face.

UN Ambassador. Sec. of State should go to Bill Richardson. In an Obama administration, naturally. Wink Tongue
