Remember early in the campaign, there was a leaked memo from the Clinton campaign advising it to skip the Iowa caucus. What would have happened if Hillary followed that advice?

Given the early polling, I suspect Obama would have also skipped Iowa, which would have meant it would be essentially irrelevant, as in 1992.

Perhaps Vilsack would still be in the race, which means a win in Iowa for him would mean Hillary clinches the nomination.
