I'm very, very excited about the Iowa Caucuses and the New Hampshire Primary some 5 days later. But I must admit I am excited about the Primary season and the Conventions and the General Election. In short I'm so freaking EXCITED and I just can't hide it.

Election day evening is like Christmas for me, so yeah, I'm excited. Tongue

Of course, I'd be a lot more excited if I had a strong feeling that my guy was going to win (like in 2006 and in 2004 after I had seen those exit polls). As it stands, it could go any way. There's a 33% chance I'll be elated, a 33% chance I'll be somewhat disappointed, and a 33% chance I'll be horribly depressed the next day.

Option 2.

I won't stay awake till late in the night just to watch the CNN coverage, but one of the first things in the morning will be to check the teletext of the ARD or ZDF networks for the results... they will at least say who came in first, second and maybe third in both parties.

Option 2. I'll be excited only if Clinton doesn't win.

I'm more "relieved" than "excited."  This has been a long election cycle already, and I just want to see things officially get started.

Bingo. I'll be excited with Huckabee/Edwards winning the thing.

I'm nervous. I know if Romney wins Iowa, I could be looking at our nominee, and that makes me sick.

Very, very excited! Unfortunately, I'll be at a party that night, so I won't find out about the results till one in the morning.

I still think Romney looks more like Guy Smiley than a Ken doll:

By the way things are looking, you might not find out the results until the next day anyway.

Obama leads: Excited

Edwards leads, Obama a close second: Satisfied

Clinton leads, Obama distant second or third or Edwards 1st, Clinton 2nd: Depressed

I'm interested at least for the Republicans to see how that goes. On the other side it's not that exciting, Clinton wins, Obama second, Edwards very distant 3rd.

Even though neither of my top 3 choices will break the top 3 in Iowa, I am through the roof with excitement!  I just can't wait for Iowa!

I am excited because it is the first time I can remember when we had no idea who would win both sides. In a way it is more fun since I dont really have a horse in the race either. Since Mark Warner decided not to run I havent been excited by either side. I am hoping that McCain does well and dont really know which Dem to root for now, all the qualified guys are buried in the second tier.  So the political season this year is like watching a Superbowl with evenly matched teams that I really don't care about who wins.
