Why would Romney's campaign team waste their time creating this terrible ad?

It's not an anti-Norris ad, it's using Norris jokes to attack Huckabee. I like it more than Huckabee's dumb Chuck Norris ads, at least it uses the dumb internet meme is a more relevant way.

I'd watch my back if I were Romney.

Though it was a funny ad by Romney, it was also one of the worst ever.

Chuck Norris on MSNBC right now defending himself and attacking Mitt again.

It is sort of bizarre... Huckabee himself is remaining positive, while using his surrogates to go negative. Only his main surrogate is Chuck Norris

This is classic for people trying to run a positive campaign.  Unfortunately, if you do not at least attempt to show some "bite" in modern politics, you are in essence giving a green light to your competitors to keep attacking.  And in some cases, it's the only way to respond to some allegations lobbied towards you.  That way, if something goes afoul, the candidate can scold the surrogate and maintain a distance from the controversy.

Pathetic ad. It makes Romney seem like a clown for caring about what Norris says about anything.

I know that's classic... but having a washed up TV actor being your main surrogate is, um, "original".

Jim Talent just complained about "militant gays" on Hardball. The surrogate idiocy contest is getting intense.

Norris said that Huckabee is going to win Iowa in a "landslide" today on MSNBC. Uh... sure Chuck... whatever you say.

I think everything that is going on in this campaign is a horrible joke.

The utter lack of seriousness here is amazing. Are these grown men or stupid teenagers who follow equally stupid Internet fads?

Slightly off-topic, but I feel compelled to mention this anyhow. Huckabee thinks he's so awesome and cool for having Chuck Norris on his side. Well, I really doubt that even Chuck Norris could beat Mike Gravel; his roundhouse kicks have absolutely nothing on Gravel's ability to stare opponents down before tossing rocks at them or magically appearing in their houses dressed as Santa Claus. Gravel can destroy anyone at the seriousness game any day.

Chuck Norris doesn't truly support Huckabee.  If he did, there would be no need for an election.

Both of these candidates are just fads themselves.
