Does anybody remember this? I don't think we ever got past the first round. That said, I think it would be fun to start this up again. With WildCard's blessing, since he originally came up with the idea, I'll take the reins and run the Atlas President Forever Championship, Take 2.

Here's how it'll work:

Round 1: I'll run each candidate against either a generic all-Left Democrat or all-Right Republican (depending on your party). I will be playing as a craptacular flip-flopping independent. This in effect will "seed" the candidates, depending on the number of EV's you receive.

Round 2: I'll run candidates against each other, for instance, the #1 Republican vs. the Last Place Democrat. The field will then be whittled down to the final 2, for the Championship.

Also:
Regionalism: On
Economy: Off
Dynamism: Not sure. Suggestions?
Spies/Fog of War: don't think it matters.

First off, everyone should fill out the following "form:"

Title:
Party: Republican/Democrat

Debating 1-5
Issue Knowledge 1-5

Let workers privately invest some of their social security payments.

//Terrorism
We should surrender to the terrorists.
We need to fight the cause of terrorism, economic and social injustice.
Focus on better foreign policy, but use military force if we must.
We should not hesitate to use military force against terrorism.
Terrorism can only be stopped one way: military force.
@

I'll post an example of how to fill one out in a minute. If enough people are interested, we can get this going again, this time until the end!

How about we make a scenario with Republican, UAC, AFIP, and UL?  Instead of pretending to be Democrats and Republicans?Huh

Hmm...we could. I'd have a couple of concerns though:
Where's the normal Democratic party? (Or is that the AFIP in this case?)
How do we decide which 4 candidates face off against each other?
Since President Forever uses FPTP, would that split votes amongst the groups?
Also, that would involve switching the % of votes each party would receive in a given state (which could be done, but it would take a while).

I know you're good with President Forever, probably a lot better than me, so you might know to solve these problems. I guess for this game it's a lot less headaches using just Republicans and Democrats.

OK, so here's how I've decided to run Round 1:

Each candidate will be run 4 times against a Generic Democrat (Left all issues, 3 all attributes, from HI) or a Generic Republican (Right all issues, 3 all attributes, from AK).
2 times: Regionalism and Dynamism are on
2 other times: Regionalism is on, Dynamism is off

I'm doing it this way as I feel this is the best combination of a realistic scenario and a more unexpected and "more fun" scenario that includes Dynamism.

I'll average out the 4 totals to determine seedings. Hopefully, I'll be done by Wed. or Thurs.
