When are we supposed to start seeing results? As soon as individual precincts are done voting, when the entire caucus is over, or do we just get the entire thing from the Iowa Democratic party at once?

Yeah, that'd make sense, since it's just a straw poll. I'd imagine the Democratic vote for president takes 10 or 20 minutes, depending on how many people are there.

Really? Wow. Does that include the other issues they vote on, after the presidential candidate?

Well, the caucuses have begun, according to MSNBC.

MSNBC says Jasper county will be a good indicator of things on the Democratic side.

MSNBC says turnout is at 130,000, which should mean an Edwards victory, probably.

With 1 precinct reporting, Edwards has 50% of the vote. Tongue

This is not what I expected from Obama... should he be worried or is just too early?
Well, Obama is probably strongest in the largest precincts, which haven't reported yet. I don't know though.

I'd think that the entrance polls would overestimate Obama and under-estimate Edwards, but that's just random conjecture.

If Edwards holds off Clinton and finishes within 2-3 pts of Barack, would you call his campaign dead?  I don't think so b/c he beat the frontrunner.
Depends on whether or not he gets the endorsements in Nevada.
