Strickland is a smart choice for any of the Democrats.  He moves Ohio from Toss Up to Lean Democrat.  And he'd be succeeded by Lee Fisher, who would almost certainly win re-election.  I think the Strickland choice is a can't miss for Edwards, Obama or Clinton.

Biden is another, but particularly for Edwards or Obama.  Even conservative Republicans like Dick Lugar and John Warner say Biden has forgotten more about foreign policy than most politicians will ever know. Edwards, like Obama, is all about passion and inspiration.  And that's not bad.  But back it up with some real gravitas.

Evan Bayh on the same ticket would be just too pretty.

He might also think about a Democrat with very conservative credentials like Phil Bredesen or with a tough-guy, rugged image like Brian Schweitzer. It's not that Bredesen or Schweitzer would be enough to put their states in the D column.  But they could project an image that would play well in Florida, Ohio, Colorado, West Virginia and other swing states.

How about a homeless Iraq War veteran who lost his right arm in a mill?

This has nothing to do with the topic at hand.  But remember when Hillary mentioned how that one girl died because Edwards failed to get his bill passed?  I'm surprised nobody has said anything about this.  It sounded like she was saying that he killed the girl out of negligence!

In the event where he beat the odds and won the nomination, I would still say Bill Richardson. Kathleen Sebelius also wouldn't be a bad choice.

Could you please say what you want to say without bringing gender into it? thx.
I do think its significant that Edwards couldnt think of a single significant accomplishment he made in the Senate that actually passed.
