In the 1932 Convention many people united to create an anti-Roosevelt coalition, many felt that Maryland Governor Albert Ritchie, Speaker of the House John Nance Garner or former Secretary of War Newton Baker wold be able to win the nomination if they worked together and prevented a first ballot victory for Roosevelt.  In reality FDR was able to convince Garner to join with him to stop the anti-Roosevelt forces.  However, this alternative stipulates that Garner is not convinced to join Roosevelt but instead Baker accepts an offer by Ritchie for the Vice Presidency.  Garner decides after the fifth ballot to drop out of the running, not endorsing either side.  However Willaim Randolph Hearst, one of Garner's major surrogates leads the majority to Ritchie due to his non interventionist status, fearing Roosevelt's internationalism.

On the Republican side things go just as they did in reality.

How does the Ritchie/Baker ticket fair compated to the actual Roosevelt/Garner one?  Please respond with maps.

The only difference is that Hoover does a little better in New England, while Ritchie is able to swing DE.

Albert Ritchie/Newton Baker (D): 409 Electoral Votes
Herbert Hoover/Charles Curtis (R): 122 Electoral Votes

Ritchie wins, as would any Democrat would in 1932. Hoover claims all of the New England states. Former Governor Ritchie wins everywhere else.

Baker served as Mayor of Cleveland, so I think he would be able to hold Ohio for Ritchie.

I'll fix that now. I forgot I put Ohio in the Hoover Collumn.

Satan would have beaten Hoover in 1932.
