I don't think so. Republicans don't even really like the guy. His overall approval is what? 20%? I can't see it being much better among Republicans.

Disagree. I think he would be right next to Thompson and Hunter.

no he has all the charisma of a wooden board. Unlike dubya, he's not particularly popular with even with the base.

I don't think Cheney has the health/stamina to be an effective campaigner. He wouldn't get anywhere.

If he did run, he would be challenging McCain for supporters, and probably Rudy as well.  However, I don't think he'd be polling more than 3rd or 4th.

He'd be in the 5-10% in national polls probably.

Last I saw was 17 percent nationally, and somewhere in the 40's among Republicans.  But I can't recall the source, so take it with a grain of salt.

Dick would be a non-factor in the race, I think.  And I bet Democrats would rather have him running than Huckabee or Romney.

Agree?  No.

There is a reason Cheney is not running, and why he was never planning on running.

Because he wants to go down in history as the most powerful and influential Vice President ever, not as a sitting Vice President who was rejected massively by nis own party.
