Sure, as long as it's interesting (which means basically anything except car racing, golf, and tennis).

Okay guys..seem like there is some interest.

First off - I don't like/know/follow soccer - sorry Afleitch.

My though is the following:
1. Len Bias doesn't OD in 1986.
2. Donnie Moore strikes out Dave Henderson to win the 1986 ALCS.
3. Bill Belichick sticks with Drew Bledsoe for either...
    a. after week 10 of the 2001 season
    b. after Tom Brady injures his ankle and Bledsoe starts Super Bowl XXXVI

How 'bout:

What if the Portland Trailblazers draft Michael Jordan in the 1984 NBA Draft instead of Sam Bowie?

Not a bad one either - keep in mind that the Blazers already had Clyde Drexler so with Jordan, it's possible that the Blazers would have won several titles like the Bulls.

Willie McCovey first tried out with the Dodgers, while Sandy Koufax first tried out with the Giants. What if we switch them?

That would be cool, and it would radically alter the history of the NBA.  Of course, if Bias doesn't OD in 1986 then the Celtics would probably have stayed good well into the 1990's.

I've thought of a very interesting one involving the now mighty Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson.

Saturday, January 8, 1990: Alex Ferguson's managerial career is now in doubt after Manchester United is knocked out of the FA Cup, going down to Brian Clough's men Nottingham Forrest 1-0. Manchester United Chairman Martin Edwards denies that Ferguson's contract will be terminated and tells the media that Ferguson has got the full support of the board.

Tuesday, January 11, 1990: After being Manchester United's Manager for more than 3 years, Alex Ferguson's contract as been terminated. Early indications suggest that Terry Venables and Howard Kendall are both favourites for the position.

Wednesday, January 12, 1990: Howard Kendall re butt's rumors that he is Ferguson's potential replacement and says he'll continue to be Manchester City's Manager for many years to come. Spurs Manager Terry Venables also denies that he is a potential replacement for Ferguson.

Monday, January 17, 1990: In a shock twist, Aston Villa Manager Graham Taylor is spotted leaving Old Trafford being driven away by Manchester United Chairman Martin Edwards. Speculation mounts that Taylor will be appointed as Fergie's replacement.

Thursday, January 21, 1990: After lengthy discussions, Aston Villa Manager Graham Taylor is unveiled as Manchester United's new Manager. Taylor is expected to take charge of United this coming Saturday.

What do you think?

I’ll do a short one and work my way up….

An alternate ending to the 1986 LCS’ and Worlds Series

12 October 1986 - Anaheim Stadium, Anaheim, California.
The game is played as shown here…
http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CAL/CAL198610120.shtml

Until the top of the 9th inning. After Dwight Evens makes the second out, Angles Manager Gene Mauch decides to keep pitcher Mike Witt in the game. Facing Red Sox catcher Rich Gedman…

ABC Sportscaster Al Michaels: “The 2-0 pitch here it is…ground ball first base side. (Bobby) Grich has it, runs to the bag and the CALFORNIA ANGLES HAVE WON THE PENNANT!! Gene Mauch’s twenty five year wait is over as Anaheim Stadium has turned into Fantasyland.”

Mike Witt is named the ALCS MVP with 2 wins in the series. The California Angles now face either the New York Mets or the Houston Astros. Their series is tied 2-2.

Next - The Alternate 1986 NLCS ending.

I have a bunch of these in my head.

2/25/64 - Liston beats Clay.  In the 3rd round young boxer Cassius Clay who, to this point, seems to be defeating the champion makes a misstep.  The champion, Liston, delivers a savage right-hand to Clay's head, knocking him down and detaching his retenna.  With their fighter blind in one eye, Clay's corner stops the fight.  Clay never fights again.

1/12/69 - The Baltimore Colts defeat the NY Jets in Super Bowl III.  The AFL never takes off.

1972 Olympics - Israeli athletes foil an attempt by Palestinean terrorists to kidnap them.

The NFL and AFL already agreed to a merger prior to the Super Bowl. Only a year later would the KC Chiefs would win SB IV and then the AFL gets it's recognition.

Jeffrey Maier never attends Game 1 of the 1996 ALCS. Orioles take Game 1 (they took Game 2 in real life), resulting in the Birds flying a 2-0 series lead back to Baltimore...does the Yankee dynasty of the late 90s never begin?

Havard attends the October 19, 1873 at the Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York City (that in OTL was only attended by Yale, Columbia, Princeton, and Rutgers).  It agrees to the football code adopted there.  As a result, Harvard never has its 1874 series with McGill University that introduced it to rubgy-style football.  As a result, American football develops into a game similar to Australian rules football instead, with the most notable differences being that it is played on a rectangular field, and that the running bounce is not required.  While Australia and America keep their separate codes, the games are similar enough that once professional leagues are started, it's not at all unusual for Australians to come to America for the bigger salaries that were available, especially once television increased the pot.  Who can forget the brash young Tasmanian Ian Stewart leading the New York Jets over the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III?

Very Nice Ernest. Speaking of Aussie Rules aka AFL, I shall be going to Sydney vs. St. Kilda tonight at the Telstra Dome. Go Bloods!
