OK, I'll start this:

Senator Sensei: A mainline Democrat from the swing state of Florida.

Governor HappyWarrior: An agrarian and populist Democrat from the blue state of Maryland, of which he is the very popular Governor. He is proud of his rural origins and is known as a "hawk".

Congressman Xahar: A left-wing socialist Democrat from California and of foreign decent, he is an avid supporter of the Socialist ideas of Eugene V. Debs.

Senator Porce: Another left-wing Democrat from Oregon, his main themes are civil liberties and protection of the environment. He fights Xahar for the left-wing voters in the primaries.

Governor Frodo: A popular centrist and moderate governor from Virginia, Frodo is famed for working well with Republicans and his centrist ideas could swing a few red states in the GE.

Senator Ben Constine: The most conservative Democrat in the race, he is also from Virginia. He is known as a blue dog Democrat but is wildly popular in Virginia too. (Ben asked me to put him in as a blue dog dem).

As in the GOP one, predict the early states and if you want later states (use 2008 calendar, preferably).

Enjoy

Iowa: The three Mid-Atlantic candidates eat into each other's vote totals, allowing Sensei to win a surprise victory with only 21% of the vote. The media immediately starts touting him as the frontrunner.

New Hampshire: HappyWarrior, who has been doing most of his campaigning here rather than in Iowa, wins, with Ben Constine coming in second. The race is now completely fractured.

Michigan: With most of the candidates boycotting the state, "Uncommitted" wins, with Porce coming in second and Xahar third.

Nevada: A large portion of the minority vote goes to Xahar, who is from a neighboring state, but HappyWarrior wins the majority of the union vote, propelling him to victory.

Sensei: Red
HappyWarrior: Blue
Uncommitted: Green

This isn't a very good mix of candidates. I'd actually reccomend an almost completely different set. However, I'll go through with these guys:

Iowa: Sensei wins by holding the center. The left votes strongly for Porce, with Xahar failing to reach the 15% threshold in most precincts. Frodo and Constine, as they are aiming for the exact same set of democraphics, both perform lower than expectations. Happy Warrior also divides the conservative vote with the two Virginians, though he also recieves some support from more mainstream Democrats.

results:

Sensei- 36% - 22 delegates
Porce- 27% - 15 delegates
Happy Warrior- 18% - 7 delegates
Frodo- 14% - 1 delegate
Xahar- 3%
Constine- 2%

Xahar, acknowledging that he is quite ideologically similar to yet less experienced and electable than Porce, drops out and endorses the junior Senator from Oregon. Constine also drops out and endorses Frodo, his sometime ally in the realm of Virginia state politics.

New Hampshire: All four remaining candidates campaign extensively in the state. In the end, the liberal bloc gives Porce a win, with some of Sensei's expected support going to an insurgent Frodo. Happy Warrior does below expectiations, with much of his expected vote also going to Frodo.

results:
Porce - 30% - 8 delegates
Sensei - 27% -  - 7 delegates
Frodo - 24% - 6 delegates
Happy Warrior- 9% - 1 delegate

This is an upset for the Sensei campaign and a major defeat for Happy Warrior. Both the Porce and Frodo campaigns proclaim a victory, and have a significant amount of momentum going into Nevada. Although some sources report Happy Warrior may drop out, nothing is verifiable.

----

That's my take on it. I'll write more later, if you guys like it at all.

I'd keep Sensei, I'd keep Porce but make him mayor of Charleston or something, or maybe a congressman, then I'd have Senator Al Widdershins (WV), Governor Peter Bell (IN), Senator Nym (MI), and for a sixth person Gov. BRTD (MN), to be Naso's foil.

Interesting. Well, these are mostly the people who signed up, so it's not perfect.

And then people 'signed up' for this thread. You should go ahead and make a scenario with your preferred six. It would be interesting (as is this one).

Who is the overall winner?  We need to have him pick a running mate and do the same for the GOP and then run them againest eachother.

Alright everyone lets vote for who wins, have him pick a running mate and then do the same for the Republicans then we can have a matchup between the two tickets.

Hold on -how exactly is benconstine more conservative than myself?  Am I not the most conservative Democrat (at least one who still has a red avatar) on this forum?

And how can he consider himself a Blue Dog?  On what issues is he in agreement with the GOP?  As I recall, he has never been accused of being a DINO as I have, nor is he considered an apostate of his own party.

Frodo, I consider myself in agreement with the GOP on gun control, immigration, and foreign policy in regards to a strong military.  You are certainly more conservative than I am, although I did request to be mentioned as a Blue Dog Democrat.

Where is this thread you mention?  I haven't exactly been keeping on top of this until relatively recently.  Hell, I just discovered this primary late last night.  Tongue
