He seems to be the anti-Stark.  He is completely paranoid that Obama is going to betray Israel, when it is idiotic to think so.

Hasn't he been listening to Jeremiah Wright?  The Jews won't let Obama invade Israel.  Wink

Well, It's only natural that a idiot like Obama and a Genius like Netanyahu are going to sword fight each other.

Israel is moving right, while America is moving left.

I'm againest a two-solution. I wish Obama was out of office already. He is definitely going to betray Israel soon Sad

I'm Proud to be American, but if Obama decides to wage war on Israel i'll be torn.

Sad Sad

I thought my grandmother was bad, but what the hell are you talking about? Not in the foreseeable future will the US, no matter who is president, wage any sort of war on Israel. The nation is far too important to the US, technologically, strategically, economically, etc.

You repeatedly say you are willing to "debate" liberals on the issues. So give me the arguments in support of your position, backed up by facts if you would.

Unfortunately, Netanyahu supports a two state solution. Sad

He was probably pressured into it, dammit.

Oh boo hoo, what did you think was going to happen? This same insanity over and over again for hundreds of years. The only solution is a two state solution and one where neither nation has an official religion and a solution in which each country can posess all of the rights of a soverign nation(read:a military)

I'd like a three state solution, any chance of that?  Or maybe a 2.5 state solution because I have doubts Gaza can be saved/governed....at least anytime soon.

No, he doesn't. What he's offering is a one-and-a-half state solution.

As I've said, it is in the best strategic interests of Israel for there to be a State of Palestine.

Of course it is.  The very worst thing for Israel would be unified Arab state.  If that happens the only question will be how much damage will the Israel nukes inflict before the State of Israel is crushed.

Wait...what?  "Unified Arab State?"

Pan-Arabism died with tye-dye and rotary telephones.

I still use a rotary telephone (tough old piece of indestructible Western Electric equipment from the days when AT&T owned the phones and thus wanted to save on the cost of repairing and replacing them) that has better sound quality than the cheaply made electronic garbage available today.  However, I do agree that there is no prospect of a unified Arab state anytime soon.  The various petty dictators and monarchs of the Arab world would never willing allow it, but sooner or later there will be a second Saladin to drive out the European invaders just as the first one did.

The first Saladin was not so bad.

I own 2 tye-dyes, but never wear them out of the house.  I'm sure Pan-Arabism is the same way.

I don't think we will ever see a unified Arab State.  There are just too many despots currently in power for something like this to happen.

How is it not in the best interests of Israel?  I've already explained why it is, now you explain why it isn't.

As a Jew with a pragmatic and rational view of foreign policy, it kills me to see idiots like that just provide knee-jerk opinions that are viewed as pro-Israel.

Most Jews have no idea what's good for Israel. They simply spread fear of the irrational, evil Palestinians/Iranians/Syrians/etc. without any understanding of geopolitics, international relations theory and political/comparative science.

Well, according to Obama we shouldn't be meddling in another nations affairs. Unless it's Israel, then it's ok for Obama to tell them to not build settlements.
