According to the Nevada GOP site (http://www.nvgopcaucus.com/results), they're up to 1398/1789 precincts, which would be about 78%, not 38%.
Thanks. I suppose the networks just stopped updating.

The county breakdown there is riddled with errors, though. (I'm reporting all candidates over 10%)

Carson City 0 of 26(!?) Romney 23% Huckabee 23% Paul 14% Hunter 14%(!?) McCain 11% Giuliani 11%
Churchill (19 of 19) Romney 41% McCain 18% Paul 17% Huckabee 12%
Clark (958 of 1070) Romney 57% Paul 12% McCain 11%
Douglas (41 of 41) Romney 42% Paul 14% Thompson 11%
Elko (22 of 41) Romney 52% Paul 15% McCain 12% Huckabee 10%
Esmeralda (3 of 5) Romney 30% Paul 25% McCain 15% Huckabee 12% Giuliani 10%
Eureka (4 of 4) Romney 28% McCain 21% Paul 19% Huckabee 17%
Humboldt (0)
Landor (sic) (0)
Lincoln (4 of 5) Romney 80%
Lyon (33 of 40) Romney 42% Paul 14% McCain 13% Thompson 13% Huckabee 10%
Mineral (12 of 12) Romney 34% Huckabee 27% McCain 15% Thompson 11%
Nye (0)
Pershing (6 of 6) Romney 32% McCain 20% Thompson 18% Paul 15%
Storey (0)
Washoe (286 of 438) Romney 45% McCain 17% Paul 15%
White Pine (10 of 10) Romney 69% McCain 11%

And they say divide by 0 where there|s no votes in.

The Turnout here was much higher than in the Democratic Caucus. Which is something that surprised me at least.

Anyone wish to vouch for why?

Uh, I'm pretty sure Dem turnout was higher - they have an odd way of calucating things in the Dem primary.

Get this straight, once and for all, Romney is  Mormon, but he is not a Mormon candidate.

He is a serious contender for President.

He is a Presidential candidate.

It's like Obama, he is black, but he is not a black candidate.  He is a Presidential candidate.

It's like Clinton, she is a woman, but she is not a a woman candidate, she is a Presidential candidate.
Romney gets 95% of Mormon votes. What percentage of Black votes does Obama get? What percentage of woman votes does Clinton get?

Romney is a Mormon, but he is not a Mormon candidate.

He is the Mormon candidate.

Romney is a Presidential candidate, and you should at least attempt to become somewhat more open minded and not show your prejudices so overtly.

if you love mormons so much, why don't you marry them? (you would be allowed to marry a bunch of them)

Not according to CNN (which is what I am going at):

Republicans:
Romney 17,859 52% 16

Paul 4,426 13% 3

McCain 4,404 13% 3

Thompson 2,606 8% 2

Huckabee 2,583 8% 2

Giuliani 1,553 4%

Hunter 596 2%

Democrats:

Clinton 5,221 51%

Obama 4,637 45%

Edwards 388 4%

Uncommitted 31 0%

Kucinich 4 0%

That's with more reporting for the Democrats (88% to 78%) though according to CNN they haven't accolated delegates yet. But by simple head count you can tell the Republicans had a higher turnout - Romney got 1% higher than Clinton but 300% the votes.

those are state delegates, not votes.  it appears the Republicans will have a greater number of state delegates than will the Democrats.  they use different systems

CNN Delegate Estimate

Romney: 18
Paul: 4
McCain: 4
Thompson: 2
Huckabee: 2
Giuliani: 1

If true, Giuliani would pull into a tie with Hunter for 6th place in the overall delegate count (with 1 delegate each).

Big win for Romney, right in McCain's back yard.

Romney is on a roll.

Not really. 20% of the Republican electorate was Mormon and all the Romney had to do was get another 10% and he would have won. Not that big of a win.

It really would not matter to you how Romney wins a caucus or a primary, you and others like you will try to find anything to use as an excuse for you to say Romney did not really have much of a victory.

Yes, according to Bill Schneider, 25% of Republican voters in the caucus are Mormon, although only 12% of the Nevada population overall is Mormon.

However, Romney also carried the evangelical vote over Huckabee.

Romney coming in with a majority, or a near majority, of the vote is nonetheless a big win.
He probably won't get a near majority though....

Romney 52%.

Looks like a majority to me.

That's most magnanimous of you.  Thank you.  I, as well, really had no idea at the time, of course, whether or not Romney would get a majority or a near majority or something less.  Just a guess on my part.

Thank you for your support for Romney.  I feel confident that your support and the support of other Democrats like yourself for Romney will elect him as our President in November.  After all, I can only conclude that since you support him for the nomination that you want him to win in November.

Once again, the Romney campaign appreciates your support, and the support of other fine cross over Democrats like yourself.

Once again, thank you, and welcome aboard.
