In the end, the exit polls should be close to accurate, from what I'm seeing so far.

McCain by 5%-8%

Then again NE South Carolina has not reported yet and it should be a Huckabee stronghold.

Not Horry County, the other parts yes, but McCain is beating Huck in Spartanburg County and Lexington County, which are not strongholds for him.

I kinda liked it.  Not great.  But he gave his backers a fairly gracious rouse.  What's he going to do?  Come out and say, "well, one of those better-financed bastards won as usual."  Republicans don't do that.

One minute, McCain's lead dwindles to only 2%, in the next it has shot back up to 8%.

Having had a brief look (very brief mind) it looks like the earliest counties to declare at the one's McCain won in 2000.

In saying that he should win this now.

I think Pickens County just pushed a lot of votes to Huckabee followed by more votes from Charleston to McCain.

Huckabee just surpassed McCain in Spartanburg County.

Huckabee needs to be winning counties like Lexington and Spartanberg by strong margins to win and he's not, so far.  I really don't know what they're waiting for - Greenville?

I'm calling it for McCain.

I'm thinking CNN may be calling this race within the next 15 minutes.  Right now, it is 36-28 McCain with 22% in.
