While I like McCain personally, his stance on the war downright scares me, and I disagree with him on most else; I see him as selling out to the GOP establishment he used to fight. I am far less enamored of him than most Democrats and Independents seem to be.

Even though I have great respect for the Senator, I cannot condone his positions on the War, gay marriage, and abortion.

Hillary Clinton supported the war with a failed strategy, and then supports us leaving in shame and defeat.

John McCain supported the war, criticized the strategy, and made the President change the strategy to something much more successful.

Hilllary Clinton's stance on the war scares me.

Why are you a Republican based on foriegn policy? Your political matrix seems to be very centrist, and we are the new Centrist party. The Republicans have failed you, and are radical. Why support them? Break free and become an Independent.

Not that I really care about this, but in actual practice, once in the White House, I doubt Hillary does anything much different than McCain in terms of Iraq or world foreign policy.  It'll just be neo-liberalism vs. neo-conservatism, which are really two peas in a pod, when you get down to it.

I'd prefer Nixonian realism, but we're not going to get that.

I could ask the same question about Hillary Clinton. Although, in her case, "warmonger" doesn't really fit. Perhaps "triangulator" would be less of a misnomer?

Neo-Liberalism focuses more on people and good diplomacy, while neo-conservatism is much more agressive and jingoistic.
I actually like Neo-Liberalism a little, but I despise neo-conservatism.

Their application is rarely different, quite frankly.  Please don't believe the propaganda.

I will support McCain... on condition that he name Mike Gravel his running mate and pledge to resign on January 31st, 2009.

We may not sound centrist but our policies are. We don't do much radical, and are for bipartisanship, while you Republicans fight for tax cuts, no matter what.

Neither do I - but I'd rather have somebody like Romney, (Hunter, Tancredo) or Ron Paul.

Ask me 2-3 years ago and I'd be inclined to think about supporting McCain. However, his pandering to the far right has sickened me. His Iraq policy also is absurd. So....no, he doesn't get my vote, even against Hillary.

Pulling out in a neo-isolationist strategy is the absurd policy.  Some people have learned nothing during the last quarter century.

Well, we are campaigning here because we don't want a 100 years' war and we don't want 4 more years of what got us into this mess...

I'm not sure about McCain's fitness. Is he mentally ready to be Commander in Chief? While I admire his courageous support for a carbon cap and trade system, I have some deep worries about his bellicose streak. His recent comments on Iran are alarming, too.

What exactly have you heard him say about Iran? Do you think McCain could start a draft?
