And that's not copied and pasted from anywhere - they wrote it themselves

Obama's mama is the weird one.  What's this thing for black Muslims that she had?

But I've heard things about Obama's church.  It's very liberal, or so I've heard. And the thing that attracted Obama to Christianity was "social justice".  I haven't read his book, but I wonder if he came to Christ out of this, or out a sincere desire to change himself to become like God?  Obama seems more concerned about this fading world that the one that is to come.
Scary... Obama is attracted to Jesus's message of social justice. He should instead look through the Bible for non-existent condemnations of abortion and gay rights.

Absolutely sickening

What's so bizarre about that?

I don't see social justice as something religious.  I see it as something political.

It is not surprising that Obama is looked upon as the Messiah.  After all he is making religion out of politics.  And here comes Hillary Clinton as Caiaphus.

"His blood be upon us!  And our children!" - the voters

Come on the Religious Right are the absolute worst when it comes to mixing religion with politics

As a reform Jew, my religion's entire focus is social justice. I've met people who belong to the Church of Christ, and they are entirely normal (a little more liberal than most) and they are Christian. The focus is not on Christ as much as social justice.

Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ.
The Church of Christ people are super Conservative. They are far more conservative than the Southern Baptists.

Well, nothing makes me feel better about myself like sending them an email pretending to be a 45 year old lifelong republican disgusted with thier actions. Truly a great moment in the defense of lying. ^__^

The United Church of Christ, not to be confused with a dozen other "Churches of Christ" that are mostly more conservative.

But I would say they are focused equally on Jesus Christ AND social justice.  Any read of Jesus' words in Matthew 25 makes his social agenda clear.  But it certainly doesn't negate his personal or spiritual agenda, to reconcile broken humanity to God.  The problem is, a President cannot be in the business of doing the latter publicly, given our Constitution. (Thank God.)  But he can advance the social agenda of Jesus Christ publicly.

I was talking about the United Church of Christ. My knowledge of Christianity is very tiny compared to most.

Again, I know less than most people, but I do believe that Obama is a Christian and that it is a good thing if he wants social justice. I'm just basing my opinion off of what my friend has told me about her church.

Embarrassing. Time for a regime change in the Clark County GOP.  I wish I was there personally to tongue lash them.

This also make me understand why the GOP has collapsed in this state. They are just going downhill no matter  how hard they try.
