Look closer at the graffiti.  There are obviously whites there too (Bush didn't get 70% of Hispanics anywhere in WA), but the census block group is around 75% Hispanic.
The Zip Code is 69.8% Hispanic, and has 620 inhabitants.

Euclid, Ohio  (Cleveland Suburb)
Sewickley, Pennsylvania  (Pittsburgh Suburb)
Mansfield, Ohio   (Major Sh*thole)

Caballona, Dominican Republic for one summer    (Mission trip to Haitian Refugee Village)

Chicago, Illinois    (Downtown!  820 North LaSalle!)
Oak Park, Illinois   (Right on Austin Boulevard, on the Oak Park side of the "hood")

Fort Wayne, Indiana   (Southeast Fort Wayne, between the "hood" and the corn.)

I still miss Pittsburgh and living downtown Chicago.  But just today, the wife and I were commenting that after almost 20 years in Fort Wayne, it has finally come to feel like home.  Fort Wayne is a medium-sized city with just enough "city" to feel like you're not in the sticks.  And if you really want a major city experience, you're four hours from Chicago, two from Indianapolis, 2.5 from Columbus, Ohio and probably five from Detroit or Cleveland.

Glorieta, New Mexico (east of Santa Fe by 20 miles) -- May-August 2003

Ever find any Civil War relics there?  There was a fairly decent-sized skirmish there, in '62 I think...

I was only at the Lifeway Glorieta Conference Center across I-25 from the town.  I did visit Santa Fe some, but I never talked to any locals.

Oh, BTW, I did see a Howard Dean rally in Santa Fe

True, but the ZIP code also contains Wanapum Village (looks like a weird subdivision-in-nowhere, voting records show only white names) and Schwana (which still looks like an Hispanic ghetto but has a few actual houses too, and a decent share of white names on the voting rolls).
Just used that because as a standin for a CDP. Sort of thinking of the British term, "postal town".

Really? That's pretty cool. Most of my dad's family is from there.
Taught school there for four and a half months. Actually joined this forum from India.

I've lived at the same location my entire life, in unincorporated Barrow County, Georgia, about two miles away from the city of Auburn.
