Which is o/c completely absurd (though it might have been technically necessary on the part of the Electoral Commission), though really it's a seperate issue. The powers of the Electoral Commision need sorting out urgently; from what I remember of what they can do over matters like this it's either a slap on the wrist (which is hardly a punishment) or calling in the police (which is ridiculously heavy-handed).
