Jim McTague of Barrons said on Fox News today that the economy as an issue could catapult Ron Paul to the nomination. What is wrong with this man? Is he trying to turn Barrons into Literary Digest?

LOL. Honestly, if the economy becomes the deciding issue in the GOP race, it will be Romney... but that would take a substantial derailment of the "McCain train".

McTague also seemed convinced that Perot won in 1992.

This is stupid because the GOP won't even admit that what he says about monetary policy is a big component of our economic woes.

"Strangely" enough, there was a guy putting out the large Ron Paul signs on the medians tonight in PWC.  I guess they think he has a shot up here.

Ron Paul, catapulting...reminds me of lobbing livestock over the walls in Monty Python.

"Come back again, and I shall taunt you a second time-uh."

Paul supporters are EXTREMELY dedicated, almost to the point of being fanatical. Of course they'll think he can win, even in the face of obvious evidence that he won't.

They've been doing it up in Newport News and Hampton on the overpasses for months. I've just started seeing Paul signs in Chesapeake. The only other signs I've seen so far are a couple Huckabee signs.

Meh, I wish. The party seems to be still hijacked by neo-conservatives.

They doubled this morning.  Other than a few yard signs on private property, the only signs on the street I'm seeing are Pauls.

Then perhaps a more apt Monty Python illustration would involve the black knight, whose arms and legs and both been severed from his body.  But the fight is not over.  He says, "Come back and fight!  'Tis but a flesh wound!"

LOL. The GOP wouldn't nominate somebody who "once" believed that 9/11 was a conspiracy and you can work out the rest of the dots.

Methinks it's getting a bit late for a Ron Paul nom.

Kingmaker or independent/third-party campaign, maybe.
