I like polls.

I chose London. New York is equal alternative too. It was hard decision. But it is shorter trip to London from Finland than to New York.

New York is the center of the Universe, and capital of the world-plus it has the UN HQ.

London is a dying city, imho; and DC is a swamp.

Boo. Hiss.

If we are a dying city, how come our population is expected to grow by one million within the next ten years? How come we have the biggest ethnic diversity in Europe? How come we have a higher influx of tourists than any other city in Europe? How come we possess amongst the most vibrant financial, political and artistic communities in the western world?

This post was sponsored by the London tourist board.

I voted for New York, btw.....

I voted for Beijing, on the sole grounds that it was the only Asian option available, and Asia is where Humanity lives (with some exceptions, of course).
New York as the headquarters of the UNO is the current capital of the world.

if were to have a "capital" I'd like it to be in a neutral nation, like Switzerland.

What the heck?  Pittsburgh isn't listed?  Smiley

I voted New York.  There really is no capital of the world, but Wall Street is about as close as it comes.

Another option which could be considered here is Jerusalem.  Its religious importance to Jews, Muslims, and Christians certainly makes it one of the world's "most important" cities.

"Its religious importance to Jews Muslims, and Christians" cetainly makes it one of the world's most dangerous cities...

Go London!!! Alternately, I like the idea of Geneva, it would be good to have a neutral country hold the capital.
