As downwithdaleft has visited the forum since I sent out the jury notice and has not responded to either my PM or to this thread, I find him in contempt of court and order that his voting privileges be suspended until he posts in this thread or this trial is over.

As the trial phase of this case has been concluded, downwithdaleft is no longer subject to the previous order.

I have accepted Peter as my counsel for the appeal.

I remind the defendant and his counsel that he has 7 days from the post in which I set the deadline to file his brief/appeal.

Atlasia will have 3 days to respond.

Parties can petition for an extension and will get one for good cause.

Due to the strains of personal life and a Presidential campaign, I wish to request of the court an extension of four days.

I will give my collegues 24 hours to object...should they not do so, the extension will be granted.

The assumed new deadline will be 12:30am, Sunday, February 10th, 2008

If they object, defendant/appellant is reminded that the old deadline is still in effect (and the clock is still running) and it will be 12:30

12:30am, Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

Counsel for atlasia is put on notice given the public nature of these proceedings.

Counsel for the defense/appellant must send a copy to appellee/atlasia of his Brief/appeal upon submitting it to the court, in turn Atlasia must submit its brief to the defendant upon submitting it to the court.

Friends, I know I am speaking out of turn, but this has just been brought to my attention.

I am willing to swear that I do in fact recall Keystone Phil clearly stating that he resigned from Atlasia prior to the incident in question.  Admittedly, I have no evidence to offer to prove my claim.  Just my recollection and my own word, which used to mean something around here.

As Keystone Phil never voted as said individual, I believe this incident falls short of violating the spirit of the law in question.  That is all.
