One of the better analysts, he makes lots of awful mistakes.  I think Marc Ambinder is clearly the best, followed by Nate.

Distributing undecided voters by their breakout during the primaries?  Weighting polls by their accuracy during the primaries?  Clearly there'd be some discrepancies there but he never acknowledges them.  He's clearly a very bright guy and possibly a genius, but his social awkwardness and history as a baseball guy means that sometimes he misses basic politics.

He has great political instincts but he worships his own numbers a bit  much and his number nerdiness can cause him to miss the obvious that exists immediately outside his own bubble.   I've heard Democratic operatives, on multiple occasions, state that they prefer his (and Sean's) political analysis over their number crunching.  The numbers yield very few conclusions but sometimes he breaks an issue down to its most base political merits and harms very effectively.


Hes the best political predictor on the internet (outside myself -- since I beat him ).


But yeah, the guy with the coolest sources and best gut political instincts regarding any event is Ambinder

Sean's funny and exceptionally hard-working.  His reinactment of Kerouac is classic Americana, even if it was very different than Kerouac's original trip.

Nate is a genius, and despite the quirks in his methodology, he was nearly exactly right.  Can't argue with that.
