How the hell do you pick a mostly rural/suburban state over a state with big cities like Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville (oh wait, I forgot that they're mostly "fascist")?

Florida would be hell on earth to me. The climate, the general political sentiment (lots of Democrats, but that doesn't result in common sense management of the state), lots of old people = lots of old drivers, having to fear a hurricane every summer and the insane cost of living/sales taxes. Oh yeah it's illegal to buy 40 ozs there.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Des Moines and the Quad Cities would all certainly be far more tolerable. And Iowa does have decent strip clubs from what I hear. But I basically made this thread just to say that Florida sucks.

Oh and Florida has WAY more suburbs than Iowa.

Hmm.. both are just awful choices.  I have a feeling Iowa would be a less annoying place overall, but I'll vote Florida as it has in certain cities some of the best street scenes in the country.

There's more prostitutes in Iowa than you think. I think I might've even seen one in Mason City past midnight, which is hardly a huge city. I've heard reports that there are tons of streetwalkers in Sioux City too.

Most people in Iowa DON'T live on farms.

Most of the cities in Iowa have strip clubs and emo venues so I'm fine with them. Florida has those too but it also has too much awful crap as well.

This has absolutely nothing to do with that. It has to do with Florida being an all around unbearable worthless shthole while Iowa being an unimpressive but livable state.

Though I'm having a tough time thinking of my favorite place in Florida. It's just an all around awful awful worthless excuse for a state.

Florida, probably. Sorry but Iowa is just boring as all hell. The only really positive thing about it is all of the political activity.

Actually Iowa is full of strip clubs and has a lot more indie venues than you'd think.

Over 65 in Florida - 16.8%

And Iowa is plenty better in culture, plenty of strip clubs and indie venues. Better than the annoying tourist trap crap Florida has.

Wait, Iowa has better strip clubs, and more numerous strip clubs, than Miami?

I'm not really a big fan of strip clubs that cater mostly to tourists and the like. They tend to be little bang for a lot of buck, and the strippers are usually fake breasted Barbie lookalikes. Not my thing at all. One of my favorite strip clubs is in uber-rural Minnesota (in a town of less than 70), about five miles from the Iowa border.

Remember that stripper who gave me a handjob without me even asking for it? That DOES NOT happen in expensive "gentlemen's clubs"!
