New idea:

Let's have 5 constituencies. That way, we can have each major party run a candidate in each constituency. We can also have 8 list seats as a collorary, elected through a "list" not submitted by the party, but rather consisted of the candidates from each party closest to being elected. The constituencies would use IRV.

Update reading list

The idea of parodying the preceding Atlasian's postings is laughable, of course, but not for reasons one might expect.
