Slightly lower (in Virginia) as a percentage than in 2004.

The drop in the black vote doesn't necessarily mean the blacks stayed home, it's possible that most of those first time voters are white (and likely young too). Not a bad thing for Obama.
Yeah, that's what I assumed as well. Just a higher population of whites in NoVa turning out much higher that in 2004.

Clinton campaign memo: "Virginia, Maryland and DC doesnt count!"

At this rate Clinton is well on her way to be arguing that a majority of states within the country don't matter. Tongue
Only blue states count. Also states where she's lived in. And racist states. BUT ANY OTHER STATES MIGHT AS WELL JUST MOVE TO CANADA WHERE THEY BELONG.

Jon Stewart was joking about this last night on Daily Show. Hopefully Clinton and her talking points continue to be the butt of jokes right up until Ohio and Texas.

Jon Stewart was joking about this last night on Daily Show.

What did he have to say?
I don't have the exact quote, but he was talking about how Obama had swept Maine, Nebraska, and Washington. And then he says something along the lines of "But, you know Nebraska: they alwaaaaaaays vote for the black guy."

Obama CRUSHES Clinton among men, and beats her by 16 points among women.

Ouch.

According to exit polls, Obama wins Northern Virginia, Southeastern Virginia and the Richmond area with over 60%. Clinton wins western Virginia 56 to 44, which is strange, because I would have expected Edwards and Biden to pick up a few percent in western Virginia.

2006 had a number of awesome race watches: Virginia, Missouri, Montana to a degree.

On an un-related note, I hate how Virginia gives each city its own tiny county. It makes looking at maps difficult. Tongue

Well, that's stupid. I would have liked to see what the Republican demographics in DC are.

MSNBC calls DC for Obama.

Lol @ Clinton getting more votes than either of the Republicans

...

Your race is still up in the air. The GOP race isn't.
Really? And yet Virginia is still "too close to call."

Chesterfield is a wonderful place. Obama should personally thank the city with some pork-barrel.

Hillary has a Mexican boy with her.  In a sombrero.  In El Paso.  While Spanish is spoken.

Guess which demographic she's courting!!!
The best part is that even if she wins crushingly in the Valley, she'll only gain a net of 12 or delegates, which will probably be Obama's net margin in DC. Grin

Er... it's my understanding that western Virginia is very similar to West Virginia. Considering that Clinton is winning 80% + in those counties, might Obama fail to gain more than 15 or 20% in West Virginia?

Um... did Clinton just say that Texas grows energy crops to make into biofuel? In El Paso? What? Last I checked, we didn't grow a lot of switchgrass or corn.

Democrats raping Republicans once again in total votes...

And, once again, you guys still have a race. We don't.
Again, the fact that Virginia wasn't called for 2 hours seems to refute that.

Wow. Obama won Catholics! He did better among non-college graduates than graduates! He basically tied among whites, crushed with blacks, and...

He won Hispanics.
