Latinos don't not like Obama, they just don't know who he is, while most of them know full well who the Clintons are and like them.

They realize that Obama is too inexperienced to run the country.  Finally, someone gets it!!!

I've done the run-down of all the Presidents of the past, and the fact is that the more experienced candidates have a marginally worse record than the less experienced ones. (I measured by "effectiveness", which means ability to carry out what they proposed, as obviously I disagree with some past Presidents who were effective and agree with some who were ineffective). That's not enough to say that experience is a bad thing, but enough to say that it is not a good thing.

Should Obama win the Democratic nomination and the presidency, my gut instinct is that Obama will surprise his critics when he proves just how able and competent he will be despite what is, rather widely, perceived as a lack of experience

Yes. Obama could be a realigner... the fact that he lacks expirence is why he will make change. He hasn't been properly assimilated into the country's political machinery.

And God knows, change, first and foremost, is what is needed, especially after 8 years of that George W Bush. Hillary Clinton would, well, be any Republican nominee's best friend going into November. As for change, you won't get that with John McCain, who well has been in Washington DC since dinosaurs roamed the earth, if not earlier Tongue

Oh, yes, he's from Illinois and has appeared with the Daleys, therefore he must be corrupt.

It has nothing to do with corruption, though I imagine this is a joke. The point is that he doesn't think the way other A-list Beltwayers do.

God Bless ARG. I'm surprised they didn't show any polls where Tom Tancredo was leading amongst Latinos. If ARG does do those sorts of polls.

Could it be that he has risen too fast to assimilate the ideas of his peers?

Nah, of course he's a politician, but many many politicians do it because they want to make a difference, effect change, serve their constituents. Others do it for personal gain, arrogance, superiority complexes, or simply get changed once they've been in the higher echelons of power for long enough  (the Animal Farm syndrome).

Me neither.  Obama sprang from a machine that most assuredly 'gets things done', and I certainly couldn't care less whether there is 'corruption' involved or not (one things for sure Democratic corruption is only ever small change compared to Republican corruption).

What are the "issues" for Latino Democrats? I thought latinos just didn't like blacks all that much (or at least not black politicians). And they trust Clinton more.

They're in different gangs in prison, you know, Gustaf.
