I cannot vote for this, but it would be a breach of the constituion if I was to allow the continuation of the current map.
I will abstain, and therefore the bill
will
pass, as the most possible votes against is now 4.
I hope that we can agin come bvack to this issue after the midterms and work out a truly acceptable map for us all. It is due both to the above constituional parameters, and the urgency, that I don't vote against this, but I am certainly not in favour of it.

LOL! Governor, of the 50% reduction in your constituency, whom did you lose besides a Southern reactionary opposition? If anything, this legislation makes your safety of office almost boring.

It may be the case that this bill is ready to sign following Senator Hughento's abstention. But I really believe the Senate and its existing members have an opportunity to make an authoritative statement with this legislation that will serve them as well as the institution of the Senate down the road, if they act quickly.

Fritz, if this passes this afternoon let's say, do you think President Gustaf will sign it soon so it will be effective for the upcoming elections? Has he give his position on this?

Fritz, it has already passed.
As it is basically the same anyway as abstaining, i'll vote yea to get it over and donw with, but I would like to register again my dissatisfaction with this map.

Yes, but now everyone has learned to love him, and we all feel sorry for him for not getting elected because we all know how cool he is

This has indeed passed the Senate by five votes in favour with one abstention. If another Senator votes in favour it is veto proof but I await another vote or the President's signature, whichever comes first.

Senators Boss Tweed, Nation, Michael Z, Deprepdan:
I sincerely implore your votes on this bill, and especially another 'yea' so that this legislation can be enacted without Presidential signature. A delay will only cause further disruption and confusion to the elections, and you're all in position to prevent that.
Thank you.

I'd just like to congratulate the Senate, the President, and many other who worked VERY hard on the formation and passage of this legislation--Though having turbulent effects today, it will ripple loudly in the annals of Constitutional Law for Atlas in the centuries to come.
