Okay, everyone's saying that Hillary/Obama or Obama/Hillary would be impossible at this point.  But ignoring that reality, suppose that Obama is the presidential nominee, and Mrs. Clinton becomes his VP.  Would that be analogous to JFK picking LBJ as his candidate?  Does anyone else see the resemblance?

No. The analogy would be if Obama picked Harry Reid as his VP when Harry Reid jumped into the race at the last minute. Clinton can be Stuart Symington or HHH all she wants.

Harry Reid hasn't been running a silent campaign. The only possible analogy would be Newt Gingrich, but he dropped out when he couldn't raise enough support.

An Obama/Gingrich ticket would cause a rift in the fabric of time and space, resulting in the destruction of our known universe.

Hillary would not be Barack Obama's Lyndon Johnson or vice versa. Hillary can be Hubert Humphrey all she wants. I'm sure if Hunter S. Thompson was alive today, he'd call her an Old Hack, with as much passion, if not more than calling Hubert Humphrey one.
