Not quite.  The person who voted for Al listed Akno as like his 4th preference, for these purposes we could call it second preference.  The person who voted for MAS117 listed no other preferences.  So Akno ends up with 9 votes.

With an endless 4 hours to go...!

The page isnt totally correct.  It should have 9 for Akno in the final runoff.  It also assumes the NixonNow vote wont count (probably an accurate assumption).

So without NixonNow's vote, Its 9-8. Right?

I was asking. I thought with the Run-off Stuff, he would win if it was a tie?

Actually you would win the tie, since all 9 of your votes (counting NixonNows) were first preference, and only 8 of Akno's were.  If Ben had put down Akno as his first preference, it would be an unbreakable tie.

Note that he also voted for "bobo," not bono.

My guess is that since, if the voting holds as is, you will be declared winner, I will take Fritz to court, the court will decide about NixonNow's vote, and if they decide in my favor, I win, 9-8. If not, you win 9-9 on a tie breaker.

Well, that's curious.  Why does the election results page show Akno as having 56% of the vote, then?  That would give him 10 votes.

the MAS117 vote with no second preference isn't counted going into the next ballot so that would be 9-8...

I'm going off of this page that gives Akno 56% of the vote after the runoff; since there are are 18 votes in total, (0.56)(18) = 10 votes.

But after run-off there are 17 votes because MAS117 never put down a 2nd preference to go into a run-off...

Well, 9 votes out of 17 is 53% and 8 votes out of 17 is 47%... at any rate, we know what the actual results are; I'm just commenting on the discrepancy between them and what the election results page seems to be showing.

Yes.  One particularly controversial one was Harry vs. M.  That caused fallout for weeks.

All of these elections are impossible to follow.  In District 2B senate Bono has 4 and Umengus and Migrendel have 3. But Migrendel wins. Can anyone explain why.

Preferential Voting. Umengus's votes would go to Migredel, giving him 6 to Bono's 4.
