I posted this in the PA discussion thread.......but Rep. Jason Altmire, PA (Pittsburgh Northern suburbs - don't know the CD) endorsed Obama as well.

The Service Employees International Union here also endorsed the Big O.

Altmire has not officially endorsed Obama, although it appears likely:

The WSJ is reporting that Senator Amy Klobuchar will be endorsing Obama tomorrow and that the entire North Carolina DEM House Delegation will be endorsing Obama. That adds up to 8 more superdelegates.

Cantwell is an odd case.  She's endorsed Clinton officially, but she's made clear that - as a delegate - she will support the delegate leader (who will inevitably be Obama).  I'm not sure how you want to count that.

(I think Erc's round-up counts her for Obama.)

bahahahahahaha!!!!!! I couldn't be happier to hear that. Reminds me of when she supported Joe back in 2006, than right before the primary she said she'll support whoever the democrat nominee is after the results come in. Ohhh Hillary, it must suck to be you.

NPR radio reported that it wouldn't be the entire six remaining Reps, either.

He was recommended for the post by the Wyoming governor at the time, Mike Sullivan (D). In cases where a governor of the same party recommends someone, the President just rubberstamps the recommendation.

I don't see that on their newsite even, and if Gore officially endorsed him everyone would have it.

Where is that from exactly?

The anchor who is on this hour said it multiple times, and they flashed a picture of the two with that heading underneath.

Obama picked up 26 Oregon endorsements today:

Sen. Barack Obama picked up support Wednesday from 26 Oregon elected leaders including Portland independent Sen. Avel Gordly, who announced she's re-registering as a Democrat so she can give Obama her vote.

When she met Obama in September, Gordly said he told her he needed support from independents like herself. And Gordly has been talking up his candidacy since.

"Barack Obama is a unifier," Gordly said during a press conference on the front steps of the Capitol.

Gordly, who dropped her affiliation with the Democratic Party ahead of the 2007 session, couldn't guarantee that she would remain a Democrat after the presidential election.

"I'll assess where the party is, where the Oregon Party is in terms of leadership," she said.

Joining her for the Obama event were more than a dozen legislators, including House Speaker Jeff Merkley. He wore an Obama button on his blue pinstriped suit and declared that Obama has the vision and experience to fight special interests.

The Obama campaign says they expect to be endorsed by more legislators Oregon elected officials before the May primary. There's one name they probably won't add to their list: Gov. Ted Kulongoski. He's already announced his support for Hillary Clinton.

See below for a complete list of elected officials who officially joined the Obama team Wednesday.

Also supporting Obama:

• Congressman Earl Blumenauer

• State Treasurer Randall Edwards

• Superintendent of Public Instruction Susan Castillo

• Senate President Pro Tem Margaret Carter

• Sen. Alan Bates

• Rep. Jeff Barker

• Rep. Phil Barnhart

• Rep. Suzanne Bonamici

• Rep. Peter Buckley

According to Wikipedia, Senator Barbara Boxer intends to vote for Hillary Clinton, in deference to the latter's win in California.  She will not actually endorse either of them, however.

Obama could be picking up quite a few superdelegates in the next couple days. Several add-ons will be chosen:

April 3 - DC - 2
April 5 - DE - 1
April 5 - MO - 2
April 6 - ND - 1

All of these are Obama states so if all follow the state's vote Obama will pick up 6. It's tough to see the two from DC not going Obama (one is already all but chosen though he won't be officially until tomorrow, and he's an Obama supporter). If I'm reading this correctly it sounds like Delaware's are elected by the pledged delegates, so if correct that one should be safe for Obama. North Dakota's is also basically safe for Obama being elected at the Obama supporter-dominated state convention. Missouri however being almost a tie may take a compromise route and appoint one delegate from each candidate or even simply appoint one or both uncommitted. We'll see.

As if Heinz Kerry and Fonda weren't bad enough, Jimmy Carter gives a very obvious hint about who he's supporting:

Ah well, the fact that he's a superdelegate should help to soften the blow.
