I stumbled across this.  I used to watch Fulton Sheen some years back, and even when I disagreed with him on specific points, I always found it hard to disagree with him on the whole.

Here are all three parts of the segment.  He does make a hit against gays here, please don't turn it off because of that, as that is not the main subject matter.

Keep in mind he was speaking all the way back in 1965.

BTW... Fulton Sheen is not a "Catholic" speaker, so much as a general Christian speaker.  He was enormously popular with people of all denominations.

Very interesting.  I must admit it was hard listening through the 1st video, but he eventually caught my attention well enough to listen to all three.  I've got to say I'm actually impressed, he gave a good talk on the points of False Compassion.

Off topic note, is the cape still standard dress?

Ha... no... its not.   It can be worn, but I haven't seen it in years in anything less than very high ceremony.

It was actually a serious question...Huh

I don't doubt it was, and I didn't mean to sound condescending at all, if that's how it sounded, I just thought it kinda humorous.
