From what I've read, they brought in him and another comedian to make jokes about Mike Huckabee during a short segment.

The clip you saw was at the very end of that segment.

To FOX's credit, that is their morning variety show, much like all the other network and cable programs, which is probably why the commedian was on the air to begin with.
