As Peter has pointed out, the Senate has fallen very far behind of late, and it is largely my fault. As the PPT, I should be keeping up with legislation as it slips out of active debate.

Life has been very busy for me. As I've hinted at, I'm getting married a week from today. I will then be (largely) absent entirely for another week. Since I am not going to be able to perform teh duties of PPT effectively for at least two weeks, and probably not for a while longer than that, I will be resigning the post, effective an hour from now as I deal with some of the affairs that need doing first.

Again, my sincerest apologies.

I'd volunteer if the voters of the Pacific weren't idiots.

No need to apologise, bearing in mind the circumstances Smiley

I'd volunteer if the voters of the Pacific weren't idiots.

Probably not a very good way of getting them to vote for you...

Got a problem with pedantry? But I'd like for you to look at my comments on the Candidate Declaration Thread.

This is why 12 year olds shouldn't be allowed to use Atlas Forum.

I'm just suggesting that you wait until your next birthday party before you post on the forum, that's all.

Not everyone loves being reminded of the fact that you're perfect with spelling and grammar (then again, when you're 12 and bored, there's not much else to do)

I'll be 14 at my next birthday party. But that's beside the point.

And I was just pointing out a Freudian slip from Colin. (Is that the right word?) I should've added a smiley to make it clear. But I digress.

'bride to be' isn't a freudian slip, it's a commonly used term.

Ah! It was bride-to-be!

I thought he meant,

"I wish...you and your bride...to be a happy and long lasting marriage."

Congratulations on you upcoming marriage Verily Smiley and all the best of luck with that.

Despite the Atlasian Senate falling behind of late, I think you've been a very good PPT of the Senate. At the moment I think Afleitch or Colin Wixted is favourites to take over in your position, however I doubt they will accept.

Well done Verily, in multiple ways Cheesy

Have a great honeymoon, and don't you dare post on the Forum in that time.

Unless Hillary drops out or something, anyway.

Have a great time, and congratulations! Smiley

I must also say that when I was VP, your focus and engagement with the Senate business was unimpeachable and I thank you for all your efforts.
