Actually Kerry was only up 8 in the district at one point.  Have you seen the ads here?  Yeah, they were pretty scathing and numerous on both sides, but Schwartz always held the edge though.

Brown might have had a small lead after the bitter and close primary for the Dems. No way of really knowing either way though. There were very few polls.

IIRC, there was no poll on that after the primary. 

I didn't say there was. I said she might have had a small lead (considering a bruising primary on the Dem side and Brown being fairly well known) but there's no real way of knowing.
