New Mexico 13 (43.3%)
North Carolina    17 (56.7%)

Total Voters: 30

Nobody seemed to care about this match and I don't blame them. North Carolina wins in a relatively close one and faces Vermont in the Divisional finals. Wow this division was weak as hell.

Well, here we are. The Elite Eight. We are getting towards the end. And we have an epic West Coast Showdown!

On one side, with a population of over 36,000,000 we have California. The most populous state by far and the third largest by area, California boasts a wide array of landscape and cultures. To spice up this EPIC ELITE EIGHT SHOWDOWN, I'll post a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge, courtesy of Google Image

Aww yeah that's nice. And let us not forget their governator

Who is your daddy and what does he do

California started off in Round 1 by merely having a draw with Alaska for first place. Round 2 wasn't much better with a poor win over Wyoming. However, California took it up several notches in Round 3 when it tore Connecticut, a decent mid-carder, limb-from-limb with almost 80% of the vote. Needless to say California is coming into this match with momentum.

On the other side. we have the great state of Washington with a population of just under 6,000,000. So it's smaller but size isn't everything. Remember the Tortoise and the Hare? Well, that wasn't really size but you get the point. Or I could simply direct you to Texas vs Vermont. Yeah, I'll do that. Washington has the Space Needle which people might care about but more importantly it boasts this

That's right. Starbucks. The future leader of this planet. The headquarters is here, in Washington.

Washington is also run by this person

Okay. she's no Arnold but she did beat a guy by the name of Dino. Not easy to do you know. Dino is such a cool name. I'm going to name my kid Dino. But yes, Washington has a female governor and 2 female senators. Is it a girly state? Arnold would say so but let's see what the voters have to say

Washington has done the best of any state so far. It demolished all it's opponents in Round 1 and pasted Maine in Round 2. Round 3 is squared off against Virginia, a state that had proven to be strong and Washington still won very easily.

ELITE EIGHT: CALIFORNIA VS WASHINGTON

Go~!

Pretend I'm in an announcer voice

k?

And with 3 votes in, California has taken the initial lead! This is going to be a doozy folks! Who shall prevail for ultimate West coast dominance?

I would rather live in California. Less rain and more to do.

Washington

California is too anti-intellectual and too much about partying and celebrity worship.

Washington is one of my favorite states, but I've never been to either of these two.

I would like to remind the voting public that California includes Bakersfield.

I rest my case.

Uh, what?

I take it you have never visited Death Valley, Joshua Tree, the Channel Islands, Highway 1, Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Point Reyes, Mount Whitney, Muir Woods, San Francisco, the Avenue of the Giants, Redwood, or Lake Tahoe.

Washington.

Northern California is good, from what I have heard, whilst Southern California, especially surrounding Hollywoodland isn't.

Alright, this is match is over. I'm not going to start the next one because I feel really sick. I think it was the sushi I ate tonight. So you get an off day.
