Weld. Silber wasn't always so bad though. I believe back when he lived in Texas he was an activist for liberal causes like opposing the death penalty and segregation. Then he became president of Boston U and turned into a fascist.

From what I can see Weld is much prefferable to Silber. But what is strange is that BRTD would support a Republican.

Weld is a great American, despite endorsing Romney.

Why? Over someone like Silber?

can any member tell me how Cambridge voted?

It voted for the Toff instead of the Howard Beale impersonator.

William Weld, obviously. A great politician and a great governor.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Its a shame he couldn't get the nomination for Governor of New York. Not that I'd want Spitzer to lose, but Weld is awesome.

Was the Green Party around yet in 1990?

I couldn't believe the Democrats nominated someone as bad as Silber. In Massachusetts, of all places!

It seems that youtube has none of Silber's Beale-like moments on it Sad

In this particular lesson, BRTDs across the Commonwealth supported Weld en masse.  Generally because Weld made a more convincing Democrat than the very outspoken, socially conservative Democrat did.
