(1998 - DEEP IMPACT) President Tom Beck (Morgan Freeman) is running after having led the nation through the comet crisis, with most of the Eastern Seaboard of the United States wiped out following the Atlantic tsunami. We will assume for the sake of argument, he is a Democrat.

VS.

(1997 - AIR FORCE ONE) President Jim Marshall (Harrison Ford) is a former Vietnam Medal of Honor winner, a former member of Congress, and the incumbant President seeking re-election on a strong anti-terror message. After delivering the "Be Afraid" speech, his plane, Air Force One, is hijacked by mad Russian nationals...and after fighting back....he is back to Washington to seek a second term. It is assumed by his politics in the film, that Ford portrayed a Republican President.

WHO WINS?

One of my favorites...there should be a poll about the two Presidents in My Fellow Americans [Jack Lemmon and James Garner....for those who have seen it]

"Be Afraid" speech?

That's fearmongering if it ever existed.

Sure Marshall fought off Russian terrorists on Air Force one but he dosen't have the voice of President Beck (Morgan Freeman). The Voice reigns supreme.
