That depends alot on what exactly the criteria I base my vote on is. For example: Most Interesting History and place to study? That be Mexico fo' sure with Mali in second due to the Malian Empire heritage. If I am choosing a place which I know more about and am likely to travel to then I choose Malta. If I am choosing out of sympathy then the Maldives as the place is unlikely to exist within 50 years. If I am choosing out of place I am simply curious to go to then Micronesia.. for sheer Christopher McCandlessesque desire to go there.

I go with Malta.
