CNN reports that Governor Eliot Spitzer may have spent as much as $80,000.00 on prostitutes over a period of time.

I don't get it. Surely if he wanted it that badly, then he's powerful, rich, famous and relatively youthful-looking enough to pick up a woman without paying for it. Does he have no interns?

They say he might be a sex addict, so he had a hard time controlling himself. Maybe it was the thrill of paying for it. Anyway, I bet the callgirl was willing to do more stuff then his wife would be. I'm not excusing his behavior, but hopefully he gets help, and hopefully his wife and him can work through all this, or they can work out a settlement that is fair to them both.

He was paying for privacy and discretion. Most Woman- and men, have big mouths and usually blab to anyone who would listen- i.e Monica with Tripp.  He thought he could have some freaky encounters with young girls and avoid the repercussions. He obviously thought wrong.
