Well, the fact that it's mathematically impossible for him to win the Republican nomination isn't helping, that's for sure.

But, before that, I think Paul's biggest weaknesses were that he didn't present himself well in soundbites, his ideas and solutions to problems weren't really in line with the Democrats or the Republican on a lot of issues, and the Republican establishment doesn't like him.
