Bob Spink leaves in deselection row

This has been a long time coming; rumours of this sort have been known even to Labourites like me for at least two years...

He considers attempts to deselect him "criminal"? Lol.
I hope he's good on his word as to standing again, and damages whomever the Tories nominate badly.

So you'd rather he, and the politics he stands for, won rather than the Conservative candidate?

Rather the 2 of them split the conservative vote,
Labour don't stand a candidate
Liberals take it

Smiley

Not in this part of Essex they wouldn't. This is the sort of place where more people would be happy to vote BNP than LibDem. Perhaps a slight exaggeration. Perhaps.

Of course not. Just scouring for trendbucking Labour gains in 2009. Smiley (This seat actually was Labour from 1997 to 2001, btw.)

Apparently Spink has joined UKIP. What A Huge Surprise. UKIP will of course trumpet this as proof that they aren't dead yet. Or something.
