Does anybody know if there's a tool available to input precint election data into a map of a Congressional district?  I need to make a campaign plan for one of my classes and I'm trying to put past election results on a map.

You want to load individual precinct returns onto a precinct map of a congressional district?

1. Find precinct returns.

2. Find a precinct map of the areas in question.

3. Use Michigan's Bureau of Elections website to find which precincts are in the district.

4. Use MS Paint to eliminate precincts not in the district.

5. Fill precincts with data.

But there's like 350+ precincts.

One thing you might be able to do is instead of punching in all the precincts look at the strongest precincts for each Party (top 25, 30, or however many you want to do)  you may also want to throw in there the marginal precincts, the ones with similar numbers as the district as a whole.  don't have to do everyone, but do something along the lines of showcasing the precincts where you think you would do well as a focus point of your so called campaign.  Do the same for the precincts which would be bad for you, areas you want to avoid.  And showcase those middle ground areas, as precincts you would like to focus on.  Using a bunch of precincts of each to drive the point home, but not going through everyone since the work would be too time consuming.
