My home town? No. You have to go at least 45 minutes away to find one and they're not very good ones.
At my school? Yes, several. We usually go to the Super Walmart.

"A" Wal-Mart?
No. We have six of the damn things. Plus a Sam's. And the outlying towns each have one.
It's a good thing, because there was a shortage.

Not technically in the town, but right across the river. 2-5 minute drive at most. I think the plan is to make it a Super Center actually.
Let me guess, they got a huge tax break, or even money from your town to move in, and then, when that deal ran out and your town thought they were gonna get their tax money, they just moved a mile down the road to a place that has hardly any taxes at all... after they had already killed all the business in town, of course.
Thank God, there are no Wal-Marts near me.

Yes, and I love Wal Mart. Why pay $50 for, say, something basic like a floor lamp at Target, when I can go to Wal Mart and buy one for $16.99?
Their supercenters are great, too.

The only drawback to that is the products at Wal-Mart are somewhat more cheaply made than those at higher-priced department stores. Still, they are EVERYWHERE in Oklahoma. I have one just about 8 minutes from me here in Dallas. Even my college town in Northwest Oklahoma that has a total of 5,000 people has a SuperCenter Wal-Mart, the smallest in the State. Of course, it does make sense since Bentonville, Arkansas is just about an hour and a half east of Tulsa. We have a distribution center in Pauls Valley (50 miles south of Oklahoma City), and there's another distribution center between Sanger and Denton, Texas.

Though if you can get two of something for the price of one, then you only need it to last half as long to break even.

haha. That's a hell of a way to look at it I suppose. Of course everything is made cheaply these days, whether you're buying it at Wal-Mart or Sears.

Nope.
Though we have K-Mart and Target. Though I guess you can say that they are apart of the Wal-Mart group.

We have an Asda
Walmart bought Asda, so they changed the sign to ASDA (part of the WalMart family)
Now, somehow, the sign reads WALMART (asda)

There are virtually no Walmarts around here. I think the closest one is in Framingham.
Boston is a 'Target' town.

Yes, and we also have a Fred Meyer! Our town barely has any services, but we're not exactly superdinky either.

We also have a Meijer and a K-Mart. We have a Walgreens and we used to have a CVS. There's a target a couple cities over.

Not in my hometown, but within about 15 minutes away.
On one had they're horribly depressing because of the miserable staff and shoddy goods, but on the other hand they're often open 24 hours and there's a 90 day return policy, so you can just use stuff and give it back rather than actually buy it (it would break right after the 90 days were up anyway).

No. There was a huge uproar when
Home Depot
tried to open a branch a few years ago, and the construction was blocked, let alone Wal-Mart.
There is only one Wal-Mart in my county of nearly a million people.
