I started wearing mine in 6th grade. The prescription was never too strong and actually reduced somewhat over the years since adulthood. A few years ago presbyopia began to set in and I found that I couldn't make out fine print on electronics with my glasses on. Now they are off for all near use - reading, computers, etc.

When I'm around the house and not wearing my contacts, I wear them.

I wear contacts and have since late 96.  I have had a few friends who have had the lasik, as well as my Uncle all with great results.   Will likely do it myself within a year or two.

Aye.  Other than a couple of horror stories I've heard about second hand or the internet, everybody I've personally talked to that's had it have raved about it.  Most wish they had it done sooner.  My wife wants to do it, but she's a chicken about it.  (I would be too! Grin)

No I do not.

The last time I went to the Eye Clinic, they said I had near 20/20 vision and thus I have no problems with my vision.

I used to have perfect eyesight all my life. But in summer 2004 I noticed things far away started to get blurry. It's gotten worse so that's why I have glasses. I was hoping it would go away. Tongue
