When I took my private pilot physical the doc told me one of my eyes was a little off and that I needed corrective lenses to fly.  I brought them with me on my first flight and explained to my instructor what the doc said.  He (instructor)told me that if I didn't wear them normally, I shouldn't wear them flying as it would just be one more distraction that I didn't need.

I never wore the ers.  That was nearly 15 years ago.  I thank Og I don't wear glasses as I'd no doubt lose them all the time.

I wear contacts and have since late 96.  I have had a few friends who have had the lasik, as well as my Uncle all with great results.   Will likely do it myself within a year or two.

My mom got that!!!  She loves her results!  She doesn't need glasses or contacts again!!

Aye.  Other than a couple of horror stories I've heard about second hand or the internet, everybody I've personally talked to that's had it have raved about it.  Most wish they had it done sooner.  My wife wants to do it, but she's a chicken about it.  (I would be too! Grin)
