As has been brought up in a previous thread, Wal Mart has sued to recover insurance money paid from the Wal Mart insurance plan to a brain damaged former Wal Mart employee.

They are within their legal rights, yes, but this is morally reprehensible.

I would like to have forum members sign up here if they support boycotting Wal Mart.

I will proudly be the first to sign.

Sort of difficult to boycott a chain that has recently abandoned its doomed attempt to expand into your country.

It would be incredibly inconvenient for me to go search out a Wal-Mart to shop in, so I suppose I boycott them by default. In fact, I don't think I've ever bought something from Wal-Mart myself, although I think I went to one in Maine with my parents when I was a kid.

However, I tend not to go to Wal-mart anyway.  It's crowded and dirty.

Yep, that's why I'm boycotting them.  Mainly it's the people that shop there.  The Soccer moms shopping at Super Target are a ton easier on the eyes than the trailer trash and hookers at Wal Mart.  The cleanliness of the store and selection of crap I'd actually own are just gravy at Target.

Confession-I bought our TV at Wal Mart last "Black Friday".

I already had been boycotting Wal Mart

I even have an: "I don't shop at Walmart" bumper sticker on my car.

NOTE: I am not one of the people who sticks hundreds of bumper stickers on my car, this one is actually the only one I have on it, as such I feel it has more meaning (at least for me.)

Now, I will say, the Super Wal-mart out in Illinois where my clan comes from is quite nice.  It's large, well lit, and clean.  Plus, it's the only place to get most of the stuff I'm accustomed to living out here in VA.

We donīt have a Wal-Mart in Austria, but I pledge to boycott the supermarkt chain Lidl.
